Project Bonnie, Martinique and Guadeloupe

Gasfin was contracted by Électricité de France SA (EDF) to provide a mid-scale LNG infrastructure solution for the French Caribbean islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. The LNG is intended to be used in the new 200MW power plants on each island.

The solution is based on a dedicated mid-scale solution including two offshore moored 25,000m³ FSRUs and a mid-scale LNG carrier for regional supply. The FSRUs and the corresponding mooring and riser system were designed for station keeping during hurricane conditions. The project is fully class approved and permitted and approved as compliant by French regulators and while not delivered, provides a construction ready solution for an integrated mid-scale LNG service.
