Gasfin was a founding partner of Tema LNG Terminal Co – which in 2022 expects to commission the first LNG import facility in sub-Saharan Africa.
Gasfin has led the design of the entire project, including the marine works, pipeline and the fabrication of the floating infrastructure, helping deliver a new 3 mtpa LNG import plant at a competitive price in a challenging marine and logistical environment.
Gasfin’s 28,000m³ Floating Regas Unit (FRU) works in conjunction with an upgraded 127,500m³ LNG Carrier, to deliver 250 mmscfd natural gas, as well as facilities to bunker, reload or break bulk LNG.
The terminal is anchored by Royal Dutch Shell and their long term gas supply agreement with Ghana National Petroleum Corp, but is open and able to catalyse new energy developments both domestically and across the region.
